Amy works in both child and adult mental health and has an interest in anxiety management and trauma recovery. She has experience in the management of abusive behaviours and family violence, and has worked with both victims and perpetrators.
Amy has previously worked in corrections so has interest and expertise in the treatment of offending behaviours and in risk management. She regularly provides assessments and reports for child protection and family court matters.
Amy also works as a senior fertility counsellor for Fertility Tasmania. She is a member of Australian New Zealand Infertility Counsellors Association (ANZICA) and the Fertility Society of Australia (FSA).

Olivia is a clinical psychologist who completed her Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) in Adelaide before returning to her home-state to complete the Master of Psychology (Clinical) at UTAS. Olivia uses evidence-based therapeutic approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Schema Therapy to target a variety of mental health difficulties. She also conducts cognitive, educational and autism assessments.
Olivia has a keen interest in working with children and is passionate about collaborating with families, schools and young people in a neuro-affirming way. She continues to share her time across her role as a school psychologist, as well as in private practice.

Priya has a unique understanding of life’s challenges, gained through her own education and background in corporate and financial service environments. Her empathic approach and insightful guidance have helped many individuals navigate their challenges and achieve personal growth. Using evidence-based interventions as well as an interest the mind-body connection, Priya’s warm and welcoming demeanour creates a safe space for clients to explore their emotions and find healing.

Izzy is a registered psychologist and clinical registrar who completed her Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) and Master of Psychology (Clinical) at the University of Tasmania. Izzy draws upon a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, collaboratively tailored to suit people’s individual needs, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT).
During her postgraduate studies, Izzy had the opportunity to deliver a range of psychology services to emergency services staff, state service employees, volunteers and their immediate family members. She was also privileged to work closely with individuals, couples, families and carers impacted by Chronic Kidney Disease and cancer.
Izzy works with children, adolescents and adults to support a range of mental health presentations including, anxiety, stress/burnout, depression, grief and loss, low self-esteem and adjustment to major life changes. She has a keen interest in supporting people living with chronic and terminal health conditions. Izzy also conducts cognitive and educational assessments.

Katie has her PhD in Clinical Psychology and has been working in private practice since 2010. She provides general counselling support and specialist psychological therapies for children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. She uses a variety of therapeutic techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy. Katie is experienced in assisting people in managing a wide range of difficulties. She is registered to provide services under Medicare. She also provides services for organisations including MAIB and other insurance companies, and workers’ compensation. Katie is experienced in completing child and family assessments as well as educational and cognitive assessments for both children and adults.

Jessica is a clinical psychologist who completed her studies at the University of Tasmania. She has worked across several settings, including teaching, and researching at the University of Tasmania; developing and delivering group-based mental health and substance dependence programs; and a practicing psychologist in NGO, private practice, community, and educational settings. She uses evidence based therapeutic techniques including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Eye movement Desensitisation Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) Techniques in managing a range of mental health issues. Jessica works with primarily with adults and has specific experience and special interest in areas such as substance dependence, complex trauma and PTSD, anxiety, anger management, depression, and interpersonal/communication issues.

Jacqui is a clinical psychologist registrar who completed her bachelors in Queensland before working in frontline child safety in regional Queensland. Jacqui spent several years working with vulnerable children and their families before returning to Tasmania to commence her postgraduate psychology studies. During her postgraduate studies, Jacqui has worked closely with members of the community who have committed a range of crimes and those who have served time in prison, working with them through their community-based orders. Throughout her tertiary placements, Jacqui has been exposed to a range of therapeutic techniques and modes of intervention including group therapy, family-based therapy, assessments and individual therapy. Her placements allowed her to cover a range of mental health presentations and over the years, across her professional and tertiary experience, she has worked closely with both perpetrators and victims of abuse.
Jacqui is passionate about delivering assessments through an objective lens and works hard to deliver therapy that is both collaborative and client centred. Jacqui uses evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) to meet her client’s goals. Jacqui works to adopt a comfortable therapeutic environment for her clients allowing them a space that is safe and approachable.

Mandy has been practicing psychology in Tasmania since 2004. She is an endorsed clinical psychologist with expertise in family and couples’ therapy, parental alienation, the management of chronic health problems such as chronic pain, and workplace psychological injury. Mandy is also an endorsed supervisor for the clinical psychology registrar program. She is a member of the Australian Psychological Society and College of Clinical Psychologists. When not working at Salamanca Psychology, Mandy is a lecturer in psychology at the University of Tasmania.

Isabella is a registered Psychologist and Clinical Psychology Registrar, having completed her studies at the University of Tasmania and Monash University. She possesses experience across community, corrections, and private practice settings, with particular interest in the treatment of young people and adults with various mental health challenges, including relationship difficulties and anger management.
Isabella employs evidence-based techniques, including Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), to support clients in achieving their goals. She also conducts cognitive and educational assessments for both children and adults. Isabella divides her professional practice between Salamanca Psychology and the Tasmania Prison Service.

Kimberley is a board-approved supervisor for clinical psychology registrars. She has extensive experience in treating a range of disorders including anxiety, depression, and eating disorders, and is able to conduct cognitive and forensic assessments within both adult and child populations. Kimberley also specialises in working with Antarctic expeditioners and their families.

Rebecca is an endorsed clinical psychologist who completed her Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) in Melbourne before moving to Tasmania to complete the Master of Psychology (Clinical) at UTAS. Rebecca is also registered with the Psychology Board of Australia. Rebecca has worked within tertiary mental health services delivering group therapy programs including DBT, and within private practice working with people from a range of ages and presenting problems.
Rebecca is passionate about working with people experiencing problems with eating and body image. She is particularly interested in helping people find a balanced and healthy relationship with themselves, their bodies, food and movement. Rebecca also works with people who are experiencing difficulties with mood, anxiety, trauma, stress and their relationships with others.
Rebecca believes that therapy provides an opportunity for positive change through understanding and examining our experiences, emotions and behaviours. Rebecca places a strong emphasis on the importance of the therapeutic relationship, built on openness, nurturance, gentle challenging, safety and respect. She uses evidence-based models to provide a framework to suit each individual client’s needs.

Claire (she/her) is a registered psychologist who completed her Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) at Griffith University and then her Master of Psychology (Clinical) at the University of Tasmania.
Claire believes in the importance of working collaboratively with her clients to evoke meaningful and long-lasting change. Her therapeutic style is open-minded, compassionate, and flexible. Claire works primarily with adults and older adults. She has experience assisting clients presenting with various types of anxiety, depression, stress/burnout, neurodivergence, and grief. Claire integrates a range of psychological approaches to provide her clients with tailored care such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Compassion-Focused Therapy.

Sarah is a clinical psychologist. She uses a variety of evidence-based therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).
As a practicing psychologist Sarah has worked in a number of settings including aged care, adult community mental health, and inpatient and outpatient settings. She works with people aged 16 years and over with a range of mental health and relationship concerns.
Sarah also undertakes ADHD assessments and provides services for organisations including victims of crime, MAIB, workers compensation, and other insurance companies.

Janita is a Clinical Psychologist who completed her Doctorate at the University of Tasmania. She has been working in private practice since 2008 and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society. She is registered to provide services under Medicare, and she also accepts referrals from third-party organisations including MAIB and other insurance companies, victims of crime and workers compensation.
Janita provides general counselling support and specialist psychological interventions for individuals who are 17 years of age and older. She is experienced in assisting individuals in managing a wide range of difficulties. She takes a practical approach, using a variety of evidence based techniques including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) to assist individuals in achieving their goals and improving their quality of life.
Janita also provides assistance to couples wanting to improve their relationship. She has undertaken level 2 training in Gottman Methods Couple Therapy. Using this approach, Janita can teach couples specific skills to deepen friendship and intimacy, help them productively manage conflicts, and create a heightened sense of empathy, understanding and shared meaning within their relationship.

Libby is a registered psychologist and clinical registrar who uses a friendly, collaborative and empathetic approach in her practice. She completed her Bachelor of Psychological Sciences (Honours) in Melbourne before moving to Tasmania to complete the Master of Psychology (Clinical) at UTAS.
Libby has experience working with individuals and groups across community mental health and private practice settings. She works with children, young people and adults, assisting them across a range of mental health difficulties and chronic health conditions. Libby also conducts cognitive and educational assessments.
Libby tailors her approach to each individual’s needs by drawing from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). She strives to create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive therapy space that assists individuals to make meaningful change and achieve their therapeutic goals.

Karen is a registered Clinical Psychologist. She obtained her Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology as well as her Doctor of Philosophy (in Psychology) at the University of Otago in New Zealand. She worked in the United Kingdom for 7 years post-training and moved to Tasmania in mid-2016.
Karen provides general counselling support and specialist psychological therapies for children, adolescents, adults and families struggling with a wide range of mental health difficulties. She uses a number of different evidence-based models of therapy, depending on the needs of the individual client, including (but not limited to) Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Karen has an interest in neuropsychological assessment, and has considerable experience in the assessment of neurodevelopmental disorders. She is able to offer private assessments of intellectual functioning and/or autistic spectrum disorder if this is needed.
Karen is registered to provide services under Medicare and NDIS, and for other organisations including workers’ compensation.

Nicole is experienced in working with adults, children and young people across a wide range of contexts and client needs. She works collaboratively with her clients to understand and achieve progress in the goals that are most important to them while building resilience into the future.
Nicole uses therapy approaches that have been independently researched and shown to be effective for improving mental health, coping, stress management, adjustment and relationships. She has extensive experience in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). In 2019, Nicole completed both standard and advanced level training in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), assisting clients to recover from traumatic experiences including workplace accidents and car accidents.
Nicole has been a psychologist for over 10 years. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) and a Masters in Clinical Psychology. Nicole provides sessions through GP mental health care plans (with a gap payment) as well as regularly providing services funded by MAIB, workers’ compensation and Child Safety. Private health funds may also cover session costs and it is best to check with your fund to see if you may be eligible.
